“ZBrush modelling” in Flash

While doing some 3D research I stumbled on ZBrush, a cool 3D modelling application. The concept of the app is different than the average 3D modelling tool. Basically, you start with a shape and draw to add and remove volume. I thought it would be fun to make something like that in Flash. Et voila!

I shamelessly based the geodesic sphere code on the Away3D geodesic sphere and the shading on keim at Si‘s cool wonderfl’s experiments. (I think that is his name?)

Yea! Finally a new Neuro Productions project: The Logic Lab

The Logic Lab is a node based application for simulating simple circuits of logic gates in the browser.

Protect 7-7 by Wim Tellier

A company like Neuro Productions is usually not allowed to take any credit for de hard work they ‘ve done on a site or an application. Especially not when its a nice high-profile yellow ribbon site (12th November 2008) like Protect 7-7. But To my big surprise this wasn’t the case with the nice people of These Days.

The site is an online experience shop for one of the biggest photo-installations of 2008. A story about nature, humanity and art by Belgian artist and photographer, Wim Tellier.

For this site Neuro Productions worked for the highly professional teams of These Days ( design by Valentijn Destoop ) and Amai ( Remember that name, these guys are gonna make it! ). Neuro Productions developed a big part of the site: The viewer, page and slides-handling, menu, intro, framework ( adapted PureMVC for the use with SWFAdress ) etc.

I made a Twitter Friends Browser smaller than 4k.

The Doodle History

This week Neuro Productions Launged a small side project called “The Doodle History”.

It’s a bitmap-based doodle application that uses AMFPHP to store jpg-encoded Byte Arrays in a MySQL database. The 3D time line is done with Papervision3D.

For ClearMedia, Neuro Productions made the website of an Antwerp based image consultation bureau. The navigation (which is almost the whole site) is made with papervision3D.

Socks and Sandals

Neuro Productions made the portfolio website of the graphic designer Jan Vanalphen.
The concept was simple: “Lets hang the whole site on strings!”. The realisation was something else, but after a lot of experimentation and fine-tuning we made it work.
The site won a Dope Award , and an award on the best flash animation site.
